On August 3, Magic City Mustangs donated three Radio Flyer wagons to the
Children's Hospital at the Big Top Cruise In on the campus of the
hospital. The children of the hospital are transported using these wagons
rather than wheelchairs.
Brad Barnett and Chris Sanderson took
two other wagons home to decorate to be donated at a later date. The one
pictured below is the one Brad Barnett modified. He used pedal car parts
to make it look like a 1965 Mustang convertible.
On September 17, the Children's
Hospital held a wagon parade. Each department in the hospital decorated a
wagon like a cow. Judges chose first, second, and third place winners, and
NBC 13's Jerry Tracy was on hand to emcee the event, and NBC 13 camera
crews were there to provide coverage to the local channel.
